* The number of banking complaints upheld in the period is significantly different from the equivalent figure in the previous reporting period (1 January - 30 June 2010). The figure from the previous reporting period was unusual because of the impact of the large number of complaints about unarranged overdraft charges which were dealt with during that period following the publication of the Supreme Court ruling on related issues.
